The theme for the 2011-2012 Cheltenham Sports Basketball season is “It Takes a Team!” Youth sports provide perhaps the best opportunities our young people have to learn how to work together toward a common goal. We teach enduring values of hard work, determination, overcoming adversity, and teamwork.

Each year more than 175 players from grades Kindergarten through eighth grade, from Cheltenham Township and surrounding communities, participate in our intramural program. Another group of more than 40 players participate in the Intra-County Basketball Association Travel League. Regardless of previous experience or skill level, our program’s message is the same – each player has an important contribution to make, and our team is most successful when we all do our best. As our league continues to grow, our registration fees are inadequate to cover increasing league costs.

Cheltenham Sports Basketball exists through the efforts of committed volunteers. We strive to create a safe and fun environment to promote the game of basketball to our children and the life lessons to be learned from participating in a team sport. We encourage fair play, excellence in sportsmanship, honesty, teamwork, competitiveness, and respect for self and one’s opponents. Understanding the rules of the game, learning the fundamentals, playing to the best of one’s ability and continual improvement is the focus of our program.

At this time, there are two ways to serve as a sponsor:
1. Team Sponsor ($100): Your name will be listed on the backs of the players’ uniform jerseys for one team (8-10 players) with a phone number, email, or webpage address.
2. League Sponsor ($250): Your business information displayed on the backs of the players’ uniform jerseys for one of our league colors (this year: Royal, Black, Red, Orange, and Green) across all of our divisions (5 in all) with a phone number, email, or webpage address. In total, 40-50 players will have uniform jerseys identifying league sponsors and more than 100+ local families will have exposure to your business!

Additional exposure and opportunities:
• Both Team Sponsors and League Sponsors will be identified on our Cheltenham Sports Website www.cheltenhamsports.org.
• You will be acknowledged and thanked monthly on our Cheltenham Sports Facebook fan page www.facebook.com/CheltenhamSports throughout the preseason and through the end of our season (October – March).
• In addition, you will be displayed in our Awards Banquet program.
• You will be able to become a sponsor of our end-of-season special events:
-Annual Coaches-Parents Hoops Classic and/or our
-Cheltenham Sports Basketball Awards Banquet
